Mail Call #9

I’ve got some more mail to share with you.  This time I got a letter from Mr. Duke Snider.  He doesn’t play anymore.  Mr. Snider is actually in the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.  Here’s what I got.
5.2.09.jpgThe Rockies have been on the road for a while and just got back in town last week.  Dad had some friends in town and they went to see the Rockies vs. Dodgers last weekend.
4.26.09.jpgI hope to make it back to the stadium soon.  I’m overdue and I think the guys might be able to use my help.

Mail Call #3

New mail has arrived!

This time, Dad helped me write to Hall of Famer Paul Molitor.  I thought he had a great name, so I did a little research on him and decided to drop him a line in the mail.

2.08.09.jpgPaul was a seven time all star, had over 3,000 hits and was voted into the Hall of Fame in 2004 (his first year of eligibilty).  Thank you Mr. Molitor for signing my card!

I’m loving this mail thing.  It’s a great way for me to keep busy during the offseason.

2009 Baseball Hall of Fame Inductees

Two legendary players were inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame today.  Rickey Henderson was voted in on his first ballot.

Jim Rice made it in on his last chance.

Congrats to both!  It must be a huge honor.  They both played way before my time, but Dad promised to tell me some stories about these guys…  After my nap of course.
