Mom and I talked Dad into another trip down to Colorado Springs for a baseball fix. It didn’t take much convincing. I asked my GranC and Pappy to come with us. Here I am, all ready to go.
I heard some pretty ladies say that I looked sharp in my new Rockies uniform. I brought the shade on my car seat and got some fresh air while Dad grilled up hot dogs for everyone.
I was the first to spot the big Rocky Mountain Chocolate bear. He’s my buddy and Pappy showed me how to give him a high five.
Dad got great seats and we were really close to the action. I couldn’t wait for the game to start.
Here’s my buddy Sox doing what he does best.
He seemed excited to see me again.
I gave him a big wave and yelled out to him. I’m sure the pretty girls I flirted with in the row behind us were impressed that I knew Sox. You know, he’s a real famous celebrity.
GranC bought me my own fuzzy Sox the Fox to keep. I liked eating his nose.
The Sky Sox played a good game and I saw Joe Koshansky hit another home run. Dad went to the back of the stadium and got me the home run ball.
I also got to see Cedric Bowers come in from the bullpen to pitch. We saw his Major League debut with the Rockies last month. I also wanted to see Ryan Speier come in for a few innings. He must have been taking a nap when it was his turn, because he didn’t play last night. I don’t blame him. I had to take a nap in the 7th so I would have enough energy to watch the end of the game.
Mom made me look silly with my hat inside out. I was too embarrassed to even look at the camera. She said wearing my hat like that helped the Sky Sox come back and tie the game.
I eventually turned it back the right way, but I guess I did it too early since the Sky Sox wound up losing in extra innings. Sorry guys. Next time, I’ll be sure to keep it that way until the end of the game, even if I do look silly. The Rockies are out of town for a few days, but I told Dad to get me some good seats to see a game next week. I really want to see the Nationals play next Wednesday. I can’t wait!
